Engine Shutoff in 'P'ark??

I just got my 991 TT a week ago and noticed that when you drive around for a bit and put the car in Park, the engine shuts off and does not turn back on when you go back to drive! Is that normal??

It is a little annoying to have to turn the ignition off and then back on again .

Thanks for the help!

No that isn't normal. You sure you have the "automatic engine shutoff button" off? That would cause the engine to shut off but it would restart when you go to accelerate.

So, it should not shut off after putting it in park and back to drive again?

Agreed, doesn't sound right, but then sliding from drive to park then back to drive while you are driving around doesn't sound right either.

Simple fix... Push the "Sport" button. ;)
