Congrats! You will get back a totally different car than what you turned it to the shop for the mods.

This is the set up (plus the Mickey Thompson Street ETs) that Mark Blackwell used to crack off a 10.19 quarter mile.

Anyone know if the 991.2's PCM module can be put into the 991.1?

 

I would be shocked if that could happen. The new PCM's screen is bigger so it would probably require a replacement or reworking of the whole dash.

 

I really really really hope they make it so it can be interchanged. *fingers crossed* lol

you would have to ask yourself why would they do that?

they want you to trade in for the newer version.

this would make that unnecessary.

Anyway, just got the car back today! OMG!! Amazing tune, I haven't been this freaked out and afraid of my toy since I was a teenager riding around on an r1....by the way, the car is much much faster than a motorcycle from what I can feel. Very happy with the modifications, again thank you the members here for helping me with these mod decisions!

Thank you! I'm loving it, at start up, you get that "great" sound you would expect... Like hearing a lion roar in its natural habitat. I was definitely going for a more aggressive sound (compared to the others I've heard on YouTube) and this accomplishes that and more!

Car can be very tame at highway speeds and very aggressive when you decide you want it to be. I wouldn't say it's jekyll/Hyde...but more like a Hyde/hulk type of sound. I don't know f you get that reference? Lol.

Anyway, I'm willing to bet you'd be the envy of all with a sound like this. Hope that helps you with pulling the trigger! Happy New Years All!

 

Congrats. You are at about 680 bhp on pump and 700 on race gas. That is a ton of power. Enjoy! It is quite a shock at first

 

That is an excellent explanation of the Tubi catless. It's relatively civilized lower RPMs but a beast at higher rpm's. I love it.
