Cobb stage 1 erratic boost

Cobb stage 1 erratic boost
I installed the accessport a month or so ago and love the additional power. However, since I installed I have noticed erratic boost pressure under normal passing. Full throttle it pegs the boost and it stays consistent thru letting off throttle. The problem I am having is just barley pressing throttle running say 70 it will jump up to 11-13psi then erratic up and down boost (down to 3 up to 9 back down to 5). This makes for a very jerky ride which I do not care for at all. Has anyone else experienced this and it may be something I have done wrong. Also, on another issue what is the best exhaust to elimate the drone while cruising 70-80 mph? That is something that gets annoying while traveling a distance in the car. I rarely drive my car but when I do I would like it to be without flaws.

This kind of on again off-again boost which is not smooth or linear was also experienced by a good friend of mine who has Cobb stage two with an off-the-shelf map. They were able to fix the problem with the custom tune. I would contact them immediately and I believe they will provide you with a custom tune which hopefully will eliminate the jerkiness. Believe me it's not you. It's the off-the-shelf tune. But it is quickly and easily fixable and Cobb will fix it.

I will contact them and see I have about decided to just take it off and sell it. The car stock has enough power to me and I would just have the car back to normal.

But before you sell your Cobb Accessport call Mitch from Cobb and tell him about the problem. They fixed my friend's pronto. They were extremely responsive to him.

OP, sorry to hear about your issues. Have you tried contacting anyone regarding this or the dealer you got it from? There is an easy firmware update you can do which more than takes care of this problem as well as gives you so many options to play around with. Several of the other tuners have come out with stages and revisions and updates. The key is support. Many of the good friends here are great at it. There are SBR or stock boost response maps so you can have the best of both worlds. So easy and you can do it in your own garage and minutes. And I bet if you get some proper support walking you through the access port you would enjoy it. Feel free to contact me anytime and I'd be glad to walk you through and help out with it! I'm sure Mitch respond as he is very quick even during holidays and weekends. I just supplement where I can because they do the same for me
Happy new year!

I too feel it would be in your best interest to reach out to Sam/Cobb. I'm certain they would help make the car awesome to drive and everything you expect or more. I'd frankly be shocked if they didn't which you could post about in here

And the greatest thing about Cobb it will take you about 5 minutes in your garage to upload the new tune instead of the hassle of taking it to a dealer. Easy as pie and you will be loving it.

I have contacted Sam and as everyone has said he is on top of things he sent me the things to start with. I am going to try to get things worked out this afternoon. It seems to be common and very easy to eliminate my concerns with the erratic boost. Thanks to everyone's response and info!

Sam has a reputation for being super responsive to clients and I expect your problem will be solved very rapidly. I would not part with your Accessport over this issue.
