Project Redhead

As some of you know, After running a 9.71@143 with the 991 TTS with nitrous (10.12 without) and going from 60-130 in 5.1 sec, I figured it was time to upgrade the car.
In collaboration between By Design, COBB, BBI, and Vengeance racing, I've decided to upgrade the the car with the following;
1. Exhaust from By Design/Kline Inconel with titanium hardware
2. Custom headers by BBI
3. Special turbo's from By Design/BBI/Tial (non VTG)
4. Some suspension tweaks
5. Cobb Custom tune and Dyno by Robtuned
6. 200 shot nitrous by Vengeance

Here are a few teaser pictures of the hardware;

Again, Thanks Sam for all your help and dedicated service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very awesome! Can't wait for the results. The quality and engineering that go into those BBi manifolds is insane.

You've picked a stellar team for sure.

SamboTT@ByDesign 04-11-2016 09:26 PM

Definitely a pleasure working with everyone involved. I'm excited to push this as far as we can! The engineering, innovation, dedication, experience and just sheer materials are enough to keep me up at night! There are very few guys I've worked with that share my passion to this level. Gonna let Betim have his way with the rear end too...Suspension that is. I'll get more teasers next week. Soon Rob can roll up his sleeves on the local dyno out there and put our work to the ground with the Cobb AP! No pressure bud ;)

Last but not least, thanks for reaching out and giving me the opportunity to put this together Jeff. Your trust, faith and commitment are definitely appreciated. Let's Go fast!

I'm curious to why you are changing out your intercoolers from CMS to BD?

My question is sincere, not looking to start a tuner war.

I don't have upgraded intercoolers. Mine are still stock and figured it was time to get some.

Wow, you did all of that with Stock intercoolers. Nice! My bad, for some reason I thought you had CMS ones.

Can't wait for your the updates.

Tom@Champion 04-12-2016 12:23 PM

Whoa! Those are some big snails! :)

Going to be sick Jeff...you're the man!

dds007 04-12-2016 12:59 PM

I call dibs on your "throw away" parts :D!

Nice project Jeff, top notch choices. You are going to love those turbos!
What boost controller are you guys going with?

webcarconnection 04-12-2016 01:35 PM

Jeff my man, now your taking big boys stuff... Good luck with the project my friend :)

Visceral 04-12-2016 02:13 PM

I applaud you for charging in and finding all the weakest links before the rest of us have to :)

Visceral 04-12-2016 02:27 PM

Depending on when you hit the button, 200hp of N20 is more than 200 ft/lb or torque, which will be on top of the 750+ the rest of the setup will generate.

That's, you know, a lot^2.

SamboTT@ByDesign 04-12-2016 03:23 PM

Haha yup. I think we have enough hardware here to do quite a bit and we won't need it. But it's in so we will leave it in because I think Jeff likes to know it's there. What the heck!
