Champion Tune and Cat back 991.1 Turbo S 10.51 @ 131 mph
|
Awesome!!
|
I assume full weight and stock rubber. Nice run.
|
I was just about to post this vid...lol :)
Car was on stock rubber, full weight, with just our standard GIAC tune and Tubi Race exhaust. 60' was killer for stock rubber IMO! Overall not a bad result at all, especially considering the weather conditions here in FL are slowly becoming really unfavorable as we get into the summer months. |
UPDATE: Same car, just a few days later. :)
Only mods are GIAC software and Tubi Race exhaust. Full weight. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.6sp...372ae78336.jpg |
Nice! What tires did he get that 60ft with?

He's a new customer for us, but apparently he's got some skills at the strip! Can't wait to get him up to Stage 2+ and see what he can bring home. ;) |
Record stock rubber run! Good luck!

It's actually been sort of good lately, because it's been HOT (90's) during the day, but cools down to high 70's/low 80's at night. So the track retains some good heat.

Agreed for traction that's great. But it would cause higher DA and hurt the trap...which seemed to be pretty strong!

What a great track and temp situation. I'm now putting it together now, I think I Adibaz was there cutting 1.55 on Pirellis also!
|
Wow! Awesome result. Congrats! I wonder what the .2 will have in it with optimal weather and traction.

I only did one run before my hose pulled off and managed 1.55 60' on the crappy P Zeros. Can't wait to go back there again to see if i can break into the 9's... |
Is he doing something other than using LC? Is LC adjustable?

Wow - sub 1.5 60' times on stock rubber. Incredible. Tires/track need to be warm and sticky to pull that off. Always a trade off - cold air makes power but makes your tires hard and prone to spin. Many of the stronger TT and TTS times have come out of Florida precisely because the temps allow you to get the best possible traction. I had a hell of a time trying to launch my TT at the strip in 50 degree weather. Barely managed to get into the 1.6s. And that was using tire warmers on my rears.
