I sold a 2015 Z06 to buy my 991.2 TTS. The 911 is definitely quicker!

I have both...not sure the z is that much slower either...except from a dig.

 

good races considering the Vette jumped pretty much every race

 

I have owned (8 Corvettes) total. Great cars for the money.
The way they build power is completely different and they have -C7 Z06- a supercharged big V8. That being said, I had also two Porsches and a C6 (latest was an 08) and there was never match in power, handling, control, traction or anything between the two cars. My C6 couldn't keep up with my 08 C4S.
I am not surprised to see these results.

 

Not a surprise at all. C7 Z06 cannot run with a tuned 991 Turbo S. I have always beat them

 

Truth is I kill Z06's also, but stock for stock, the Z06 might be faster, especially from a roll. My TTS is tuned with race exhaust and I love the way it performs. When I get my 488 GTB, later this week, I will race my tuned TTS for ****s and giggles.

But, when I take the 488 to the half mile races, I will only race cars that are 100% stock. Why would I want to take my $300k car to the races only to have my *** handed to me by a modded BMW 335i?

I love drag racing, but in a way I'd prefer an event where everyone brought out their stock cars to see whats really up. To give you some idea of why I feel this way, the last time out with my TTS, a Huracan beat me when at the last races I destroyed the very same car. He claimed he was stock in both races. Absolutely not possible. My TTS kills a stock Huracan, especially from a dig.

 

Arnie don't feel bad there were two hurricanes out there that were supercharged the one I ran against ran a 168 Without trap me by 4 miles an hour and I heard he ran a 170

 

That green and orange one? Yeah I think it hit 170. Didn't look like it could launch as hard as a 991. I presume you beat it to the finish line despite 4mph lower trap?

 

Adam I did get him outa the hole but only by a little over a car length, so by half track he came around me I was surprised. He was the guy who put the kit tigether and sells them so I'm sure he put an extra small pully on it promotting his kits

 

That my whole point. The modding thing is fun, and I totally get why we want to mod our cars to get the most out of them. I think it would be just as much fun to see what all these great cars do right out of the box.

Anyway, that will be my challenge at the next event. If you're stock, come and get me. If your not, I rest
