Honestly I just got bored with the R8 and wanted back into a Turbo. My friends that are into cars are in the Porsche club and I missed that connection. I can add to this as I have more time in the new car. |

Used with 294 miles. LOL. I got such a great deal and they gave me what I wanted for my R8. Lets just say that I would have had to spend much more money for a 2017.
I just sold my 2014 V10 with 13K miles, they gave me something like 120 for it, and I came into a 2015 turbo S CPO as well. Big difference, and I agree with your sentiments, the sound on the R8 will not be matched, but the rest of it makes this a better overall package to me. Enjoy in good health! |
What's up bro congrats that spec is sooo sick!

As much as I like the R8, I love the Turbos :) I'm just debating if the Guards Red is what we want. It's never been titled and used as a Porsche exec car. |

Thanks. I haven't really had a chance to drive the Porsche so I can only tell you what my initial impressions are. My R8 Plus did not have the mag suspension and I didn't realize how stiff it rode until I got back in the Turbo S. I would say it was just a little softer than the Turbo in the stiff setting. The sound on the R8 was incredible with the 3" exhaust I had on it. I don't "think" I am going to change anything right now on the Turbo anytime soon. Even if I did, I don't think it would sound anywhere close to the V10. The Interior/road noise is much less in the Turbo making for a much more comfortable ride. My R8 was a 2014 and the technology was way behind on the interior and driver interaction. The Turbo is much more refined. I haven't driven the facelift R8, so I believe some of this was address with the technology gap.

I can add to this as I have more time in the new car. Very nice! I came from AMG, who makes some wonderful sounds. The only weak point IMO is the sound of my 17turbo s. Sam hooked me up with a very nice Kline inconel exhaust-problem solved! Enjoy, Bill |
