21's On 991 TURBO S

Hey guys,

thinking of getting 21'inch wheels on my 991 Turbo S. What are your thoughts?

Would that be a bad idea? I know this topic might have already been discussed. I tried searching for it but couldn't find anything. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't "race" my car. I like to do canyon runs but that's pretty much it.

P.S. My car is lowered on Techart springs and has the stock 20's now. 245/35/20 and 305/30/20 in the rear stock

21s will be fine on a 991tts, there are hundreds of owners out there running on 21s with no issues at all. Let me know what wheels you are interested in, I can get you forum member pricing from just about every wheel company. Here is a shot of our old project car sitting on 21s

Nice Pic!

Thank you. Just worried about car performance, etc. Don't want to jeopardize anything.

Can I ran 20's in front and 21 in rear? I know the GT3RS has that setup.

by the way my car is lowered on Techart Springs

Obviously the 20" will be lighter and allow more rubber, but running 21s won't mess anything up, you just have to run skinnier tires to keep the overall diameter relatively the same. I would keep the diameters the same front/rear though.

If i ran 21's i would run 255/30/21 and 325/25/21 to keep the diameters similar to stock

Also If i go 20's then I guess i have to run OE tires to keep the diameter the same.

I wanna go 325 in the rear. What tire sizes and wheel size do you recommend for 20's on my car? 20x9 and 20x12 or 20x9.5 and 20x12.5

Sorry about all the questions. I appreciate your help.

Very nice,

Has anyone run 20's in front and 21's in the rear on a 991TTS?

just did a 21" set up on my 2016 991tt with Classic 300 HRE's. Better get those rear tires on order they seem to be pretty popular.

Had 21's on my 991 TTS with no issues, even on the NYC/ NJ streets.

This was discussed quite a bit last year. As long as the tire size makes the overall diameter very close you'll be fine. But not sure what advantages that offers?

We do run 20 front and 19 rear with drag radials and that runs fine because they come out to almost identical diameters.

21" Champion RG5 ;)

As some have said...the big challenge right now is finding 305 or 325 tires in 21" sizes :(

I have 21's. Just know tires are usually hard to come by. I waited quite a wile for my
325/25ZR21 P ZERO
255/30ZR21 P ZERO
But SO worth getting 21's.

Notice any big drop off in performance and driveability?

If you do 21s do you have to lower or is stock height okay? Is the black car with Strasse's and the white car with Champions lowered?

They both look good.
