Buy now or wait for build?
I am about to get a 2018 911 TTS. I have found a couple that have a build that is close to what I want but has center lock wheels ( I want classic wheels) and no interior stitching, no seat ventilation. I also found a changeable build for May or June. Should I wait and get what I want or just get the one that is close ? I have heard a lot of issues with cars waiting at the port forever lately. Any input would be helpful. Thank you.

I always think I am going to keep a car awhile but seem to sell quicker then I thought I would. Last ‘fun’ car was a Ferrari F12 ended up keeping only a few months. Just more GT then fun.

I would only pull the trigger sooner if there was as great deal on that car that is close to the spec you want.
I think the issues that the other car is missing is kind of a big deal. I love the ventilated seats and I too would want the 5 lug over centerlock for ease of changeability.

If you are going to flip soon having 90% of the car you want should be fine. It would bother me if it were a long term keeper. I came close to buying a2015 991TT cab with 4k miles on it a few weeks ago. It was a great pts car nicely loaded but it was still missing 3-4 things I wanted. At the price I would be paying it's hard not to get exactly what I want.

I purchased a 15 TTS about six months ago, CPO with 8K miles. But I spent over a year looking for the right one. There were 6-8 "must have's" and it took me that long to find the right one. Could have ordered a brand new one with all of my "must have's" along with all of the nice to have items. In my case most of my cars tend to be long term keepers.
If yours is going to be a long term keeper, order what you want! If your going to flip it in a year or so, buy now.
