Glass or no glass sunroof?

I am about to purchase a 911 turboS. There are two similar cars I am looking at. One with glass sunroof the other with plain sunroof. I like the look from the outside of the plain one but from the inside having the window on the roof is nice. What do I do? It seems like the glass is more popular. Am I missing something?

I went glass as I like the light in the cabin and I tied the dark exterior looks in with the black aerokit. I think most choose which of the two sunroof options based on similar criteria.

There’s probably a small weight difference favoring the metal top but if that’s really a concern skip the sunroof. Or change the battery and exhaust to something lighter.

I think it depends on the exterior color. I love the black glass with the white color. But I'm biased cause that's what I have

yes I think in some colors it’s good and in others I like the more classic look.

I went with normal sunroof on my Turbo order, mainly because of the weight savings and lower cost, plus I don't care about the light in the cabin and my car will be graphite blue!

k2man is on a distinguished road
Like you I was learning toward a non glass sunroof because thought the non glass sunroof it made the car look wider from certain angles. In the end, I purchased my TTS up with a glass sunroof since I found a low mileage CPO with the color, wheels, and other options I was looking for.

Since owning the car, the glass sunroof has grown on me and the extra light in the cabinet is nice when the roof is closed.

On a side note I find I can use the sunroof more in my 911 relative to my Panamera because almost "wind buffing" in the cabin in my TTS when driving around town.

My car also has a Burmeister radio. If buying new, I would not go with that option because for me its hard to tell the difference between the Boise and Burmeister with the beautiful engine noise in the background.

Mine car was ordered with no sunroof. I did not ever use the sun roof in my 997.

I didn't want one. Now that I have one, I really do prefer it.

I'd still order without, just because I'm AR about weight.

I like how the black glass breaks up the exterior.

If you track it forget the glass. If you cruise around get glass.

If you track it, forget the sunroof. If you cruise around get the glass. I don't have a sunroof with my latest car and have just never missed it at all.
