Actually the most interesting thing was that the Tesla owner said there was a Tesla Supercharger station only 5 miles from the airstrip! So it was on 100% charge with the battery warmed when he ran me. After an hour or so of racing the driver took off, got a quick full charge and came back to race.

If Telsa doesn't go BK and the accessibility of charging becoming a non-issue maybe I'll think about the new roadster!

 

I wonder how long the batteries are now lasting and how much the cost to replace.
