Wanted to post this teaser. I went to Bahrain to do some final testing of the 991.2 AP.

This was the result.

Car has the ES700 Package so intercoolers and exhaust only on pump gas, no meth. It was pretty hot as well.

The 991.2 is really fast. Can't wait to see what you all can do with them and Accessports.

Oddly low trap speed for that ET. I guess the heat has something to do with that but still, I would have expected 140+.

Nevertheless, very quick for just a tune, intercoolers and exhaust. Good work Mitch!

Why is the 991.2 so much faster than the 991.1?

I am looking to purchase a 911 Turbo S cab in the next few months and am debating between the 991.1 and 991.2...

Is it "worth it" ~$30k premium to go for the .2? I am going to be modding both and want a high 9 second car...

Yes it is faster. The .2 is putting up similar numbers to stage 2 plus .1 cars. larger turbo's, better fueling and several other tweaks have made it incrementally better.

I still love my .1 TT but the .2 is faster. Such is the way with Porsche and the Turbo always love to see the evolution of the technology. By the time you do intercoolers, tune, exhaust you'll be at 15k easy. As you can see though the aftermarket is making the .2 even that much faster.....

 

Surprised the .2's are still way behind the .1's at the drag strip and half mile....even on e85 with larger fuel systems and larger factory turbos.

It's just so easy to bolt on a set of 68's or 71's on the .1 and dump a lot of meth on it.

The .2 has the fuel system to theoretically make more power but like the .1, it's still limited by the amount of power the motor and pdk can handle.

The .1's are a much better performance bargain considering what they can do with upgraded turbos, and 3 other mods only (int, exh, meth).

Thanks guys. The 991.2's have a ton of potential and I am sure guys like Sam and Emre and all other COBB Protuners will make them go way faster than this in no time! I love the .1's but the .2's seem to be be much faster that is for sure.
