Order new 991.2 Turbo S or wait for 992?

Fellow 6speeders,
I have a Carmine Red Turbo S coupe build in the system at a somewhat local dealership here in NJ. 215k msrp with a 5% discount. I will be trading in my 2007 Turbo 6-speed with 59k miles.
I am struggling to pull the trigger, knowing that the new 992s will be released soon. I know that the 992 turbo is probably 2-2.5 years away from being available.
My orignal plan was to buy a CPOed 2017, but at $170k, the depreciation discount is less than I had expected, especially when I can get a 5% discount on a new order.
Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated...
When do you think Porsche will stop taking orders for a 2019 Turbo S?
If I order it now, when will it arrive?
Do I pull the trigger on the last year of the 991, or wait for the upgraded dash and interior of the 992?

They take orders until around July of the current year. So you have many months left for 2019 builds.

anyone know what's in store for the 992 turbo? might or might not worth the wait for you OP, anyway, 2019 Turbo S is a killer in stock form and if u can get a good deal just pull the trigger and Happy Motoring!

I ordered a 2019 because I wanted a specific interior and exterior color combo (chalk/chalk) that I couldn't find a 2018 new or used available. Depending on what you're looking for, you may be best with a low mileage CPO 16-18. There are 2 CPO 2017's in West Palm that are $153k (sapphire blue 12,000 miles) and $159k (racing yellow 6000 miles).

The wait for another 2+ years for the 992 Turbo S will be long and hard. Trust me, because this 3 month wait for my order to come is difficult.

Can you pm what the price that they offering you for your 2007?
Thank you,

Cheapest I've seen at a dealer, but both cars have no/minimal options. There are currently 13 other 2017 Sapphire Blue TTS at Porsche dealerships, all with exactly the same options. Bulk purchase, anyone?

So I made up my mind and put down a deposit for a November allocation for a Turbo S coupe. Car will hopefully arrive in March/April, which is fine with me. The trade in offers for my 2007 Turbo were pretty low (the dealers don’t want a modded car). I may consign it with a local “used Porsche” dealer or sell it private party.
It is a Slate Grey, black leather six speed, with tune, Kline exhaust, upgraded clutch and more. It has 59k miles, but looks and runs great. The next decision is weather to sell it now or wait a few months and sell it in February/March?
If anyone is interested in more details, or has ideas of where to sell/consign in NJ, please let me know. For now, I will probably just drive and enjoy it, and agonize over the build specs for the new car.

You can make the decision by looking at this story of the 992.

Watch out for PEC cars...

the blue and yellow cars mentioned above where likely used at the Porsche experience center. If you review the carfax, the first event is when the dealer bought it with xxxx miles. They are CPO but just keep in mind that they were used non stop at a track.
