Extended warranty on my 2015 TTS

Time moves fast and the 4 year manufactures warranty is about to expire next month. I'm debating getting an extended warranty on this car as I plan on keeping it between 2-4 years.

Would like to hear from others on your thoughts on the Porsche extended warranty and do you think it's worth it...

Thanks,

Jim

if you're staying stock and drive your car a lot the extended warranty is worth it

Thanks for your input... I am leaning towards getting it. The one I am considering is adding 3 additional years or 60,000 miles which ever comes first. Right now I have 18,000 miles and I just started using this car as my daily last March, that is when I sold my M4. I am now averaging 11,000 miles a year on the TTS so in three years it appears that I would not exceed the 60K limit...

I got a quote from two Porsche dealers. They are offering the same Platinum Extended Warranty from Porsche. My car has 18K miles. The 2 year / 60K mile is $3700 and the 3 year / 60K is $3900 both with a $250 deductible. For $4300 I can get 3 year / 60K miles and no deductible. I will sell the car with in three years and with my average miles per year of 10.5K means I will not exceed the 60K. Also the extended warranty is transferable to a new owner or I can get a prorated amount back if I sell the car with time left on the warranty.

This is a bumper to bumper coverage. When I find some free time I plan on reading the fine print.

What do you think...

I'll go for the 3 year/60 with no deductible and forget about it, you'll just never know one dealer visit bill could easily exceed the $4300!
Happy Motoring!

Does anyone know if you can buy this warranty if you buy a used 991 that still has remaining factory warranty left on it - or do you have to be the original owner ? Thanks
