Powder coat stock turbo wheels anybody ?
 
I'm curious if anybody has powder coated the stock turbo wheels black ?..pics ?

There is no reason you couldn't. All exxcept where the centerlock nut goes.

I did, but for some odd reason they got stained...maybe a chemical that I used of something...not sure. Mine are satin black!

Very common. Powder coat seems more durable than paint from chipping and physical damage, but it seems more susceptible to damage from chemicals and wheel cleaners.

General rule for all wheels; never use a wheel cleaner on a hot wheel, and do not allow it to dry on the wheel.

Isn’t there a precaution you have to take when powder coating in reference to the temperature the wheel is big after being painted?

No different than painting, except on 3-piece where you need to fully disassemble and re-silicone after PC...

Yes it can be done without any issues, I saw a set that was just shipped to Washington State, like any painting or plating, it's all about the prep

Agreed. I did satin black - ONLY use soap and water to clean.

Sorry just saw this, I have the GMG Springs and the DSC suspension box, ride is perfect. I'm actually about to list both for sale, shoot me a pm if you are interested.
