The lengthy procedure is only for a very small number of early cars that have a different designed window trim. It tells you how to identify your style in the instructions. You can determine which method you would likely need before buying anything.

For most cars it's just about three steps or so and very simple. 1. Pop off interior trim cover. 2. Unscrew exterior trim from the inside. 3. Reverse procedure using new aero foil. I did both my sides in under an hour and I am super slow! If I had to do it again I could do it in 30 minutes. Not difficult at all.

wow! so good for us to have an alternative...but...the markup on those cut and creased plastic pieces w/ some 3M tape seems excessive to me. i think you'd do a lot better to target something like 35%-45% on top of cost of goods and labor...not 235%.

The AWE deflector is an easy installation in later 991's so I ordered a set.

Wow! A piece of sheet metal that took 5 minutes and a home press brake to fabricate. Even comes complete with 3M double stick tape! Congratulations, you solved a problem that has already been solved better by the people before you. Can't wait for the video from Joe telling us about the F1 car technology involved in this product.

Brad - thank you for the explanation. It makes sense now.
With the price point of the metal with the sticker, the CF trim replacement makes more sense.

As it would seem that your statements are pointed directly at Fabspeed Motorsport as a company and not at the Blackmill Performance kits, please allow me to clear a few things up. The Blackmilll wind buffeting kit was the first product on the market to solve this annoying problem. The kits that you mentioned having solved the issue more efficiently seems to be more of an offhanded remark than a tried and tested conclusion with data and facts. There are several great products on the market today to solve this problem. Each will appeal to different people for different reasons. The length and design of the Blackmill product was engineered by a gentleman with an absolute vast amount of aeronautical/mechanical engineering on some of the most high tech applications in the world. We at Fabspeed trust the owners engineering to be the best solution for a range of conditions from 60mph-150mph +. During testing, the owner of Blackmill found that with any shorter wind foils, the buffeting could not be controlled at higher(track) speeds of 130+mph. You are entitled to your opinion as is everyone else and there are a range of products to suit your specific needs. I see no merit in bashing Fabspeed Motorsport or Joe Fabiani when neither of the aforementioned had any hand in the design and development nor does it bring any true value to this thread.

No one is forcing anyone to buy this product. There was a lot of time, money and engineering that went into it by Blackmill Performance. Before making any more claims of which products work the best, I’d be curious to hear if there was anyone who has tried multiple different solutions across a range of conditions.
