Can't see the engine
Does this bug anyone else? All you see now under the hood appears to be a plastic engine cover and 2 plastic fans. You've never been able to see it very well but....What about maintenance??

For handeling purpose, engine need to be as low and forward as possible.

Bad design -- now what are you going to show your friends when you open it up? Don't the designers know that guys standing around an exposed supercar engine is a real activity? Sheesh :)

you are right, but the times of 911 engine p orn are long gone. even the 996, 997 didn`t offer much visual engine pleasure. Those who want 911 pornography need to buy a Singer 911 etc.: http://stylesauto.info/wp-content/up...lesauto_06.jpg http://stylesauto.info/wp-content/up...lesauto_05.jpg |

This is getting ridiculous guys so stop making excuses. It's not a goddam Cayman or boxer....or is it??? My money is on them warming the 911 buyer up to the electric motor.....and this no show engine is just a test to see how far far they can get away with it. |

Thats all it could be really. I mean why else remove the visibility of the engine under the cloak of a new spoiler design. It's meant to be a top end sports car rivalling the likes of R8, Faz, Astin, etc etc which can all manage to show a decent donk and P goes the other way? Yeah right. There's a lot to like about the car but there is also a lot not to like. And thats not a good thing. It'll be interesting to see how this newer higher priced car is going to sell in this worsening global financial crisis market. My money would be on holding off and not being the bunny being first in on this car....paying the list price. I reckon .2 will clean up the big mess here. It'll have to.;)
We`ll see where all this leads to, i am not too excited about the perspectives of future Porsche cars. imagine e911s with artifical flat six sounds?! |
All good points, but think of all the extra time you'll have to enjoy the drive instead of keeping it polished!!
