Question - the sunroof opening looks very small from the pics I've seen. When you're sitting in the car how much more of an "open" feel does it provide? I'm debating on whether to order one with mine because frankly, other than resale value, I'm a hardtop kinda guy.
Also, every time I look at your pics I like white on this car more and more :) (and I'm a black, silver, gray kinda guy!) |
Could you PM me the price for the front lip spoiler if you don't mind? I think it looks great as well but it's not one of the options I opted for

How was the installation for it? Installation is super easy: 4 screws to remove for the bottom part of the standard lip and then 'unclip' the upper part. The Sport PASM can then just be clipped on the car in the same way. 10 minutes in total. |

Damn, I was not supposed to be doing this but....resistance is futile. Sorry for the minor thread jack, SM-ATL...back to regular programming...and hopefully more pictures. |

Thanks for the info! Went on porscheusa and saw that the front lip doesn't seem to even be an option for any of the cabriolet models. Wonder if the fitment is different? It definitely shouldn't be but I'm not sure if it would look good on the cab. What do you think?
For those who like the sport lip, it would look as good on the cab as on the coupe IMHO. |
New experiment: black rear fender protection :confused::confused:
Quite a few people replacing Porsche's transparent rear fender protection (that usually becomes yellow too soon...) with a black one. Here's one of the many examples I have seen: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60293300@N06/6933869955/ The car is going to be tracked (starting with 3 days on Road Atlanta next week end), and standard clearbra -or call it filmspeed- will do, but I was wondering what a black rear fender protection would look like on a white 991. Black powdercoated CarreraS 20" wheels: No!:mad:
I like the black HRE P40 wheels a lot, but I am not sure I would so easily spend that amount of money on new rims (or that the difference vs. the OEM wheels is worth the money). Still, the idea of black wheels is interesting -and always works nicely on white cars-. There has been a previous post about someone powdercoating his new 20" wheels in black and the picture did not seem very exciting. I wanted to see what it would look like on my car and did one more -ugly- photoshop. I think black looks great. I would not do it to the stock wheels though. You want to be able to return te car to stock when you sell it.
