Mixed news on front plate holders

I just received an e-mail from Brad at US Millworks. The good news is that the new license plate bracket screws into the hole for the tow hook will be ready in two weeks.:)

The bad news is it will not work with the front parking sensor.

Other than moving or legislative acts, anyone have other suggestions for those of us in "2 plate" states? I hate the idea of drilling the front bumper - and don
't even bother suggesting leaving it off - they ticket big time.

I have left the plate off my my last two cars in NJ. The only time I got a ticket was in NY by a particularly irate State Trooper on I-95. He pulled me for doing 70 in a 55 (I think), made me wait in my car on the side of the road for an hour before he gave me the ticket and tried to ticket me for no front plate. I think he was either a total d-bag or having a bad day. I got out of the no front plate ticket by attaching the plate to the car and sending a picture to the court.

My point is, in my experience it is very easy to drive in NJ without a front plate.

What happens if someone backs onto the plate attached to tow hook?

This would have to be a custom mount but I would mount from the underside of the bumper with bracket and float it as for as you want. The have been motorized version made where the hardware is mounted parallel to the ground on the underside of the center intake. Figure out where you want it and make a bracket. You could do it from material from home depot.
