Anyone regret not getting Power Steering Plus option?

Folks who've had their 991 for at least a thousand miles / kms and don't have Power Steering Plus..do you ever regret it?

Also I'm wondering how many people on here have Power Steering Plus and how many don't. It's a new and seemingly controversial option so I guess a poll would be helpful not just to me but many other owners / future owners.

Call 991 will become famous soon enough
I have BMW's version of PSP on my X6 xDrive50i and liked it so much that I got it on my 2012 991 2CS Cabriolet. I don't find the delta in steering between low and high speed driving as noticeable on the 991 as the X6 but I would order again if I was doing it over.

Not a fan. I test drove a car with PSP and opted not to go with it. The transition is too artificial for my taste...just for comparison, at low speed it felt like driving Lexus 250h...that my wife had for a loaner. Just lifeless steering wheel...too electric! It's just my humble opinion.

I had the same experience as Fester. It's not expensive as Porsche options go, but after test driving it, I probably would have paid the same amount to remove it if the option was to have it removed. That said, it's really just a personal preference; try it and decide.

nope. the car is easy to park and drive. Much lighter touch than my MGB, better mpgs and slightly better acceleration...

Imo the standard steering assist and feel is fantastic for a sports car, I like the PSP in my Cayenee though.

3000 miles, I am really glad to have it - never feels too light or gets in the way of spirited driving.

Elias74 can only hope to improve
I have it and, i like it very much in parking lots and in slow traffic. Very much. Very confortable.

In sport driving, steering returns to be sporty. Nice and cheap option.

I had servotronic with my Cayenne and Panamera, thought it was essential. I test drove the 991 without PSP and with PSP. Different animal. After an extensive debate in my mind, I got the option and don't regret it. You really notice it at low speeds and I got used to the handle,.

As everything, it is personal preference and you will need to test drive them back to back. Old servotronic is not the same, believe me, I have had them and the steering in the 991 is different.

I have it and like it. Don't notice it except at slow speeds, otherwise it's pretty hidden from the experience.
