Has anyone installed Porsche's Aluminum Pedals?

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/991PEDALS.html

I saw a set at my dealer yesterday. Locked in a display case and Parts was closed, so I could inspect them and Sales didn't know.

But it seems that the accelerator is an entire unit that requires removal of the existing sub-structure.

Anyone have them? Was the install easy or did it require the dealer to do it?

Thanks in advance.

I installed my Aluminum Pedals from SRP Racing. I liked the look better than the ones sold by Suncoast. A bit cheaper too, depending on what you want. I did it myself, but you will have to be prepared to spend some time doing it and be flexible to work in that tight area. Basically you need to drill self-tapping screws for the rest and accelerator pedals, and drill holes into the clutch and brake pedals, and then bolt the alum pedals in. Measure many times, drill once.

Here is the link where that I posted earlier, with pics.

When the car gets here in about 10 days I hope I'm having the dealer install the pedals from Ultimate pedals. They have the rubber inserts also. They are about half the price of the Porsche ones and look more substantial.

I would ordinarily agree with you on the substantial look.

Until I saw the actual Porsche pedals in person. Photos don't do them justice. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the Porsche pedals are not only much thicker/heavier in person, but their style is consistent with all the other interior redesign of the 991/981.

I'm going to put them in, but just wondering if anyone else has and if they can be installed myself or if dealer shop is required. It looks like the whole accelerator assembly is replaced and probably requires some wiring for the E-pedal. Hoping it's just plug & play.

jkonva is infamous around these parts
Are the Porsche pedals coated in some way to make them slip resistant?
