Glare from Beige Dash on Windshield?
The Espresso/Cognac isn't on every configurator yet. On the Swiss comfigurator it appeared last week, but I could order it more than 2 months ago, when it was introduced on te German and U.S website.
If they refuse it (can't imagine it why), I would opt for the two-tone Black/Luxor Beige, that has already deviated stitching on the dash in beige and you can, if you want, go for black stitching on the Luxor beige parts (seats, doorpanels) as an axtra option. The Lixor beige stitching on the dashboard and upper doorpanels comes as standard with the two-tone interiors
The other choice IMO is a full Luxor Beige interior, with stitching in Espresso.
I hope they let you make the changes you want. Keep us informed.

I'm not sure if I will be able to wait, so considering Suzy's options above, which one do you think would look better w mahogany exterior? I also I'd like to add a red detail (seat belts or sport chrono)
Thanks!!
I think if I get full Luxor they will be espresso, the problem here is the glanze of windshield.
If I get bi tone black/ Luxor, I might get stutching on dashboard and upper part of doors and rear in beige. In the door lower parts I might get them in espresso or black, I m not sure about the bi tone combination. Not sure if it will be many colors (black, beige, espresso, red)

I don't want to wait, but want my car to be absolutely beautifully and full my expectations, specially science I want to keep it for good.
I'm considering maybe buy a used one till I get mine in February just the way I want it, and then re sell the used one, in not sure how expensive that can be...
If it is less than 10k I might do it, it would be like renting a car for 800 a month, but as I said, I have no idea the real cost.
Clock is running , my first child will be born in January, so If I get the car until February, I'm not sure if I will be able to enjoy it that much in those days. Neither in November w my wife's huge belly....

There is one 2014 Carrera Coupe in the country right now in Mahogany/Luxor. There are not details about the car so you'll have to call them.

Ok guys, they just told me that it is not possible for me to change interiors at this point, I have 3 options:
1. Keep mahogany metallic / beige Luxor and espresso stitching.
2.mahogany/ bi tone black-beige , stitching I guess beige and espresso.
If I do any of these opinions I will receive the car in November as programmed.
3. Wait till February and get it Special color Espresso Cognac science this combination is standard in Latin American configuration.
What do You say?

If the glare isn't a problem for you, than choose what makes you most happy. I can't stand the glare and my eyes get fatigued very fast because of it and it ends in a serious headache, but other people don't even notice there is any glare. It's very personal.
Regardimg the stitching. I've been to Porsche Exclusive in Stuttgart yesterday. My personal opinion about stitching: on single colored interiors almost a must, on tow-tone interiors not a must, but in some combinations, it looks very nice. Benefit of the two-tone interiors is that they already have contrasting stitching on the dark parts.
I switched my interior to LTS two-tone black-carrera red, but didn't get black stitching on the red parts, only red stitching on the black parts. My previous choice was a full Agate grey interior and there I really wantedsilver stitching everywhere. Looks just better in a dark interior.
This is how my car should look when it's finished:
And a matching Boxster S for my girlfriend

I went for that two-tone because of the glare from the Carrera red and because I just like the two-tone combination with black better than a full red interior. Unfortunatly it's only available via Leather to Sample, where it is a standard choice on the 911 Turbo S.
This was my original choice, where you see that the light stitching makes a datk interior look a lot better (IMHO):

Looks great Suzy. I think I will have you design my next 991!. Quick question, I notice you have CF trim along the dash console, but leather trim by the center console where the shiftter is. Do you think it would look nice with CF by the shifter trim?
(love playing around with the configurator and Photoshop
)I personally like the leather trim on the center console best. For the CF trim on the dash I'm thinking to go with after market CF trim in silver (saw some pictures from OCarbon.com on their website), but I'm not sure right now. Still have untill december to make those changes, since I postponed the delivery of both cars to march 2014, after the winter.
Untill that time I will enjoy my lovely Boxster

If you want your car fast, go with one of the first two options. If you don't want the glare in your windshield, go for the two-tone. Stitching on the seats isn't really necessary, but if you want that, I would go for black stitching. Looks great and Red seatbelts go very well with that combination.

In my case, the Latin American configuration doesn't allow the colors you proposed, but I'm thinking to wait longer to get what I really want and will be completely happy.
We all know how impatient we can feel towards getting our cars, but I thing long term wise, 4-6 months is not that much compared to to the time you will have the car.
I told my dealer that I rather wait six more months, I don't know if he was bluffing or that's the real time to get Leather to sample. I had understood it was only 4.
Haha thank you!

Did you add red leather in the back of the sport seats?
CF looks very nice too!
Looks pretty nice, sporty and fresh your combination. I think you did right doing bi tone, all red would of been too much and his way all the lines pops out better.

All cars get build in the same factory, so IMO they can't let you pay LTS money, because that option isn't on your country's configurator yet.
Make a point at your dealer about that. They just can't charge you extra money for it, other than the extra price for two-tone Natural leather. ($ 5,630 in the U.S on standard black interior)
LTS doesn't always take 6 months. It depends on what colors one choses. If it are standard Porsche colors, like I did, the it's maybe 2 months extra delivery time. Don't know for sure though, because mine was ordered for delivery in march 2014, so plenty of time and we didn't dicuss that fact.
I can understand why you want to wait for something you really want and I agree with you that waiting 4-6 months isn't that hard. For example... I waited 8 months to take delivery of an Audi S5 with some Audi Exclusive options. Those 8 months past without even noticing it. Unfortunatly it was my own fault that I drove the car for just 9 months, before we decided to move to Switzerland and I had to sell the car again...

And that was the original plan indeed, but since TSLA was very kind the past weeks and she doesn't like the manual that much (and washing black cars!), we've decided to trade that car in and buy her a new Boxster.

Yes I added the red leather back on the sportseats plus.
