Your opinion on this C2S

I am currently considering a 2013 C2S that has 2100 miles with original MSRP of 133k, the dealer is listing it at 123k. I know that is too much but what do you guys think the fair price is? It is a very nicely equipped car, I am tempted to work something out on that one with them.

Also, is adding PSE an easy one day work for the dealership? I have not asked them yet but folks on the forum seem to think it is not too much of a trouble to add OEM PSE to the car.

Thanks for all your help.

At that price why not order a 2014 car ? Whatever you save on this used car might get absorbed in a new one being one model year newer . Plus yours would be new Vs used at nearly the same price .

BTW the car looks like an early 13 model . carfax pins its delievery date 10 months ago if my guessing is looking at the right car . Someone bought a 133K dream car and sold it less than a year later ? Why ? Was this one of the early Cabs ?

Dealer cost is approximately 11 percent less when it was new but as a used car with CPO they can profit twice . Besides why CPO a 2013 car . After all it's new enough that if it really were trouble free would it really need it ?

They would have to break 110 to get me to scratch my head .
PS .. it does not have paddle shifters .. has buttons . Do you like that ?

You haven't given enough info on the car for a estimate on a fair price.

is this the car?

If so, I would offer $110K to start.

When I purchased my new '10 C2S cab., I had the dealer install OEM PSE. It was about a 4 hour job. However, they did not install the on/off button. I was told that dealer installs were "always done that way." I was disappointed, at first. But after having the PSE for a while, I LOVED it always on. Especially when I started up, and heard that PSE "growl." Sounded like a big Rottweiller getting ready to bite somebody. Loved it, loved it, and never would have wanted it off.

BTW, I also bought the '10 C2S cab. late in the model year (June 2010) and got about 8.5% off MSRP ($125K)

Hope this helps.

Depending on location, etc. people seem to be getting up to 8% discount off of MSRP when buying new. there's definitely a variability on this, i'm talking more of a max potential discount based on what i've seen.

Now that's for a new car.

2100 miles on it, now we're into MY2014, i figure that should be worth 10% off of what you could buy it for new? Somewhere around there.

So:
$133K - 8% if car were new = $122K
$122K - 10% for it being used = $110K.

I wouldn't go much above that. If anything, 10% is conservative. Also keep in mind that time is on your side. There aren't many buyers for this car - i'm stating the obvious here. So the longer you wait, the cheaper it gets.

I'd go in there, explain the math above, and tell them that if and when they're interested in that deal they should give you a call. i suspect you'll hear from them within 2-3 weeks.

I agree with everything mentioned above ^. Don't overlook the buttons versus paddles comment by yyralis1. That alone would be a deal breaker for me.

[QUOTE=yrralis1;3868407] Besides why CPO a 2013 car .

With a CPO his warranty would be for 6 years not 3 years and would be extended to 100,000 miles.

Wow you guys are good! That is the exact car I am considering. Few more questions for you all.
1. Is it better to get a later 2013 production cab? I keep hearing the early 2013 and 2012 ones may have problems.
2. They also have quite a few new 2013 on their lot. Knowing that I can try 8% if I order a 2014, what % should I try for the 2013s on the lot?

Thank you so much for all your help, I almost forgot how supportive Porsche community is

I think you're mistaken: 8% off cars on the lot is the highest one can expect and it's doubtful you can come anywhere close to that much off on an ordered 2014 car. They are not giving these cars away, you know.

Got it. I will try 8% for the 2013s on the lot. They are listing some 2014 on the lot as well, I guess those would be minimal discounts.
Thanks again.
