Incredible gas mileage

Had to share this with you guys. A couple of weeks ago I drove from Metz, France, to Milan, Italy. Mostly highways but some B-roads too with a LITTLE spirited driving. Car loaded with luggage in frunk and seats. High aircon and ventilated seats. Burmester burming away.

500 or so kilometres in, I had AVERAGED 38.2 mpg. Incredible in a car with 430 hp.

I'll try and post the photographic evidence!

Dominic,

Hugely impressive. For those in the US, his measurement is imperial. It translates to about 32mpg US.

Even for us Americans, that is still mighty impressive! Must say, however, that my Bentley GTC V8 can do 27 MPG (US) at steady highway speeds and it's 500 HP and weighs 5450 lbs. Amazing what these manufacturers are able to do nowadays!

Mmmm.... I've got 313hp and 480lb/ft of torque and get easily 45mpg.... On long trips even above 50mpg ;) but that's not a Porsche of course.

32mpg in a 911 is pretty impressive indeed. I did a little roadtrip in the alps last week with my Boxster and did not get much better than 20mpg, but driving on mountain roads doesn't really help I guess.

I average much less...... and don't want to improve :-)

Impressive nonetheless.

When I told my Porsche mechanic that I was getting 32 mpg, he smiled and said that I was driving the car wrong.

Funny, that's exactly what my dealer said!

I can get about 30mpg on the highway. but what I've discovered is that there's an inverse relationship between Fun and MPG. Once I get down to 10-11 mpg the fun starts!
