New car day
New car day
I picked up this beauty over the weekend ... almost exactly how I would have spec'd a new build. Wanted white, but was not sure about the red until I saw it person and it looked great. Actually, my first 993 coupe was grand prix white over a full leather flamenco red interior, so feeling right at home. And was very happy to get Carrara white instead of the new white.
2012 991 Carrera cabriolet
4,200 miles, one owner, sold and serviced at the same dealer
CPO till 6-18 or 100k miles
Carrara white
Cabriolet roof in red
Carrera red natural leather interior
Sports seats plus
Bose
PDK
Sport chrono
Dimming mirrors
Seat heating
Light design package
Power steering plus
Multifunction wheel
6-disc DVD changer
Storage bin lid with Porsche crest
5mm wheel spacers
Porsche crest on seat headrests
Sport seat backs in sheathed in leather
The car I was considering ordering I was leaning toward the espresso natural leather, but the red looks great. I would have done PSE instead of the Bose system but that can be added later. One thing I really like is the backs of the sports seats done in red leather, as the white, red and black look dynamite together but the grey plastic backs on the sport seats would have been a bit jarring to my eye. Not a cheap option at $1,870 but glad it's there. The car looks and smells brand new; the previous owner obviously babied it; she is the CEO of a local company and took advantage of Porsche's program to forgive up to the last 12 payments if she took a new lease; she ordered an identical new car from the same dealer.

Now I need to sell a bunch of guitars to pay for it, so any of you guys who sling a 6-string, get in touch. I carry lefty high end acoustic and electric guitars, but righties welcome

Congratulations, that's a beauty!! Love the interior. Now you just need to get some Clear Side Markers. Enjoy, you have a real head turner.

Thanks, guys! I've been driving 911s pretty much non-stop for 23 years -- many examples of 911SC, 3.2 Carrera, 930 Turbo, 993, 996, 997 -- and as I was driving this car last night, I realized that they may be able to make them faster in the future, but I don't think they can make them any better than this. What a car!
