PSE on/off they still won't let you pass peacefully

Ok so I started this on another thread and it got interesting so I thought I would start a new thread just for this interesting Porsche on-the-road reaction by others!

Ever notice that more cars speed up when you are passing them on highways or surface streets when PSE is on? In Arizona they do it ALL the time! It's ridiculous it happens so often. When PSE is off it happens noticeably less. But I even had a Prius passing me fast then as usual slow down as I was going my normal fixed speed and I passed him and that was that. Interesting how people have to pass you then slow down as if they won a race.

People have been passing me and then slowing down for as long as I have been driving. That would be 37 years and I have only owned a Porsche for 2 months. I have not really seen an increase with my Porsche and I usually have the noise button on.

Prius drivers are some of the most aggressive I've ever come across. It's like they begrudgingly get better gas mileage hilarious

naaaah...i own both a prius and a 991 and have over 150,000 miles on it. I can't remember ever passing a porsche or for that matter, any car.

frankly, considering that my porsche get 34 mph on the highway and the prius gets a mere 48, there is no substitute for driving the 991hilarious

Personally, I don't think the PSE on the 991 makes that much noise. It has a decent sound but it's certainly not as loud as my Stradale or my father-in-law's 2013 supersport Corvette.

Until I heard the car driven from the outside as my daughter drove it away I too did not appreciate its sound.

That's why I have the sunroof. Shouldn't that option be called PSER instead of sunroof ? Porsche Sound Enhancing Roof !

LOL. Don't tell Porsche; if the sunroof has a fancy acronym, they'll probably have the stones to charge even more for the option!

Behold the '60's-'70's VW Bug driver phenomenon... I guess it migrated to the Prius set.
