Great video, deconstruction of a 991!

Here is a great tech video showing the deconstruction of a 991 for a tech session, I thought it was very interesting and also took away my fears of long term maintenance and mods.

Yes I kind of think that intake and exhaust needs to be modded, but with what I don't know yet!

Great Video! Wish there were more like this...

I'm wondering why a brand new 991S (doesn't even have tags yet) is getting pulled apart? It certainly isn't the same dealer the car was purchased..

I need to find the video again on Youtube, but I thought it said they did it for a tech session for a local Porsche club. Actually it would be interesting to attend and see the details of the car taken apart.

The first thing that came to my mind was how restrictive the intake and exhaust is and whether I would want an independent modification specialist to take the car apart, it looks complicated and a bit fragile if not done right!

Yeah, whats great about these kind of videos, is they let you get the idea of how stuff comes apart..

Sometimes the first time you pull something apart the first time you are wondering.. is this how it is supposed to come apart or am I going to break something.. Sometimes, as you see when he is pulling off the bumper cover you do just have to yank on things.. Scary until you see it the first time...

Haha! I just met with Ron today as he did my 1 year complimentary service, test drive and checkup. He also prepped my baby when it got delivered and I took first drive with him. We discussed installing X51 kit today and he recommended that we get factory installed as it gets too messy (he recently did one). I luv the way these guys take care of your car...it's like a family doctor...every time you go for service, it's going to be the same technician who'd take care of your car who prepped it at the time of the delivery!! I feel like my baby is in great hands with Ron.

Yes, Ron's a good guy and great tech. I work with him almost on a daily basis and offers to speak with clients if they are more technically inclined.
