Here's a close up of some of the design work that we have done on our 2013-2014 Porsche 991 center muffler delete X-Pipe header flanges to insure a perfect fit. Since our header flanges are 3/8" thick vs. the 1/16" thickness of the OEM header flanges, we felt it was neccessary to countersink our flanges to accept the OEM muffler bracket bosses, while keeping everything in the exact OEM location. We have heard of other companies using a 3/8" flange with no countersinking consideration for the 5/16" thick round bosses on the muffler support plate, leading to poor fitting systems and problems during installation. After examining the OEM mufflers, SpeedTech took the initiative to address this problem in our initial design...

Looks nice...
presuming this is tailored for the C2S, how much? Special discount for who asked first?

how about a sound clip?

I guess I'll never understand this, but why in the world are exhaust companies not blowing up Youtube, Vimeo, and the forums with video after video of their exhaust. This is so simple. Get a Rode Video Mic with a dead kitten wind noise reducing cover from B&H and a basic video camera. Rev the engine a few times, making some rolling passes under light load, make a few wide open throttle passes, and then edit in iMovie.

Hi John,

We always discount a few of the first systems, so yes, that can be arranged - I will message you with some introductory pricing...

addy, video is coming shortly - this X-Pipe is still in the final stages of development and we hope to have some sound clips within a few days...

Money, we have done several videos of our other systems and they can be found on you tube, etc. - very soon our 991 exhaust videos will be up and running on our web site and on you tube...

We have both a 991 center muffler delete X-Pipe and a full 991 muffler system that we plan to create videos for in the next week.

This is our full 991 system:

We are still dealing with pretty tough winter conditions in the Northeast, so videos are tough this time of year. However, we just received this video today from one of our customers that filmed his OEM exhaust, then installed our X-Pipe and filmed it in the same manner, to do a direct comparison.

The video is short, but you can definetly hear the improvement in sound, especially at wide open throttle. Our center X-Pipe adds a really nice bark to the system and IMO, develops a very exotic Ferrari-like sound, as well...the customer was extremely pleased and impressed with the sound of the system and referred to the sound as very "exotic".

Very nice looking stuff there John! I'm still waiting for my car (it's on the boat) so we'll see if I really *need* to upgrade the exhaust, but I'm a little curious on the price of the X-pipe since you don't yet show it on your company website.

Thx!

Hi beemer,

I'll send you a PM - we have a special 6speed price and an intro special right now on 5 more systems...

I'm off to Germany this morning, so kinda rushed right now!

If anyone from ME, NH, VT or Mass, even CT, RI is interested, we will install a system for free and discount it, as well, in exchange for some video of it after the installation....PM for details. Installation would be in NH.
