There is a company called United Trucking Co that is found on the website www.united-move.com . The site is full of phoney testimonials and corporate endorsements. I got duped into using them. Basically he will quote a price, say $800 and ask for a $200 deposit. All will seem well until the driver arrives and asks for $800 in addition to the $200 you put down originally. The guy will then say the $200 was a fee and had you read the small print you would have seem that. Basically he lies on the phone and hides behind small print on the contract so beware of this unreputable company and do yourself a favor and use someone else. It is not even a shipping company but a "broker" who attempts to find you a shipping company for a fee.

Yes, I already reported it to the Florida Attorney General, the US DOT and the BBB not to mention the police department. Since I didn't pay the increased fee they made off with my cargo which I now reported stolen.

Sorry to hear this happened, but why did you give him your cargo if you suspected there was a issue with the quote?

 

They pulled a bait and switch on him upon delivery.
They asked for an additional $200 that was never agreed to (along with a whole bunch of other folks).

 

It was actually a Vespa, not a car and yes, I have no idea where they are. Trust me the wheels of justice have already started turning in a big way and this outfit will regret the day they ripped me off.

Yes, my Vespa is being held hostage and I have no idea where it is being held.
