Easy 20+ RWHP Mod!

Made you look! Just couldn't resist....

I had some free time this afternoon between calls, and an old can of red plastidip. The temp outside was actually 60-something, and as I stood there looking at the rear of my 4S sticking out of the garage, I got the urge for a little customization. I had previously plastidipped the rear badging black, so i figured why not do the "S" in red?

So I warmed up the can, taped-off the rear, and blasted the S badge with 4 coats of red.

What do you think?

Before everyone starts flaming me for having some water spots on this, my DD car, just know that I did prep the badge before I sprayed, but yes the car needs to be washed....

Not sure I like the red.... but the black looks great on the GT Silver paint.

Thanks!

Because you have a 4 with the red across the back - I would keep it all black for contrast

So I vote change it back. Don't like it. Maybe on a regular S

I think it looks great! I'm definitely going to copy this for my C2S. Just out of curiosity, what did you mean when you said you 'prepped the badging'? Is there anything I need to know before I go out and purchase some Plasti-Dip?

Thx

Thx! All I meant is that I made sure the "S" was clean of any road grime, dirt, etc. that might be of issue when painting. Just make sure you mask-off the rest of the rear of the car, as even with almost no air movement, the plastidip "dust' makes its way onto other surfaces... But even if that happens, it's more of a nuisance than anything else. You can just wipe off with a microfiber towel when the car is clean.

Plastidip is really really easy to work with. Search this forum and you'll find other examples that look great.

Have Fun!

I ordered a Red "S" for my C2S Cab from Bumper Plugs over a year ago. Had it installed when I got the car last March 15. Looks great on a white car.

I like it nice touch. The best part is if you get tired of it the dip just peels off.

Did you dyno the car before and after? I just want to make sure the gains are legit before I perform this mod myself...
