So I drove by the local PCA concours d'elegance and parked next to this beauty. Love that color. It was my other choice when I ordered my car.

I'm not really into the more modern cars at these Concours. Really like the older cars with some historic value. This was by far my favorite. What a piece of art!

 

Definitely love the 356...hopefully not a replica!

 

I think it's the real thing. It had papers showing it had been picked up at the factory in Germany along with the order specs.

 

I was one of the team of Concours Judges on this car, it is the REAL THING, owner had three other classics there as well, all the real thing.

Serge, I had to leave before the final results were given, the Irish Green was very nice, but he was dinged for using glossy wheel dressing and he had some very tuff competition. Here is another beauty, that just came out of a total restoration in August 2013

 

You guys are tough! Wouldn't very clean fully original/OEM car that would somewhat show its age win over a restoration? Just curious, I never looked at the rules of the concours.
