Spoiler & Sport Exhuast Question

The owners manual says the 'sports features' like the sport exhaust will turn off with the car. Is there a way (hack/dealer programming) to keep the sports exhaust turned on all the time? Have the same question about the spoiler, it stays up when the car is turned off, but goes down after I start driving off after the next start. Personally I like the profile of the car with the spoiler up. Eventually I will get the Techart Type I spoiler.

I don't think you can do either.

Thanks. That's what I figured going through the owners manual. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.

When my change-over valve (vacum switch) was broken my Sport Exhaust was on all the time.
Get your hands on a broken change-over valve and you are good.
Otherwise, install some side muffler bypass pipes, to disable quiet mode.

No easy hack for sport exhaust on.. Spoiler however is persistent and stays on between ignition on/off . Sometimes I forget that I've left it up...

At least on my 2014 c2s.

Someone had a "button mod" where Sport mode (and therefore the Sport Exhaust) is always activated. It basically turns Sport mode on after you turn the car on.

Also, I think if you just disconnect the vacum lines, to the valve diaphrams (and then cap/plug them, of course)
sport exhaust will stay on permanently.
It seems like aplying vacum is what closes the valves to engage quiet mode.

This is off-topic, but before I make a separate thread about it...

Does anyone know if there's a way to keep PSE valves closed and to PREVENT them from opening above 3300RPM with moderate throttle? I wouldn't mind keeping it in quiet mode all the time when the valves are shut.

My car is in the shop because the solenoid for the PSE vacuum line is broken. As mentioned above with this broken or with the vacuum line disconnected the sport exhaust is on all the time.

Mine seems to have a mind of its own. It stays up after ignition off, and even ignition on. But goes down when I start to drive away.

I had been thinking about this also.
The Cargraphic Exhaust Flap Control system claims it can do Always On, Always Off and Auto.
I imagine the other Valve Control systems from TechArt and Akrapovic would be similar in function.
Im thinking of getting one of these controllers for the discrete control capability.

Mine most definitely stays in the last state I left it in through multiple ignition cycles and drive offs... I basically leave it up most of the time, just because I kinda like it that way. And it just stays that way..

The one thing I have noticed is

a) When running I can extend the spoiler immediately when I push the console button. Doesn't matter if I am moving or not it will go up.

b) However once the spoiler is extended, and I am not moving, if I push the console button (to make it go down) it won't until I start moving.. and the button will blink continuously until I finally do start moving. (and then the spoiler retracts). [I also think once I push the button it will continue to blink even if I turn car off, remove key and restart until I move. So it remembers that I wanted to put it down, even though it hasn't moved.

But regardless my spoiler won't go down until I specifically push the button and move.. Otherwise it will stay up forever..

I'm not sure exactly the mechanics of what actually makes the spoiler go down, and if it is vacuum, hydrolic, electric or mechanically driven..

That said, mine is a 2014 C2S (coupe) with standard spoiler, no SPASM and no Sunroof.. So I'm not sure if there are differences in behavior with Cabs and Sunroofs.

Wondering if opening the sunroof has any affect on it?

Maybe so, but it wouldn't really make a lot of sense to operate differently in that regard..

What I'm not real clear on is exactly how the spoiler behaves when manually deployed vs Automatic/off

When left in automatic/off, it just deploys automatically to whatever extent the car decides based on speed and configuration (i.e. if a sunroof installed and is open, etc). And supposedly it extends to a different level when sunroof is open.

But when manually turned on, does it change at all when driving or is it just 100% extended all the time..?
