My Post Disappeared & I Don't Know Why
 

I just asked what to expect in the way of a depreciation hit when I sell my 991 and after a few helpful replies the thread simply disappeared! Not moved or locked, but GONE. I never got an email telling me that I'd broken some rule and that the thread had to be removed. Nothing. Disappeared. Phht. Just like that. What did I do wrong?:confused:

You didn't have to do anything wrong...usually, in a "what is it worth thread" someone else will make you an offer or will post their car for sale and since it is in open forum that will get the thread removed...I hope you received some useful info before it was removed

It's not even on the market yet and probably won't be until October. I know better not to list something for sale in the general forum since there is a proper forum for classified ads. I was just seeking advice and I got some. But for it to just be removed with no explanation is a bit puzzling. I think an email advising me that it has to be locked for whatever reason would've been in order. I'd just like to know what line I crossed so I won't make the same mistake again.

Wait a minute...I complained to the mods about how my thread had gone south due to some political comments and they shut it down, but it wasn't my thread or my comments that shut it down, it was the political comments of others.

Heck, if I'm gonna be censored, it ought to be because I've offended someone. Nothing personal about southern boys, mind you, but I don't cotton to folks purposely spewing thick diesel exhaust fumes on bicycle riders and Prius owners. Just ain't cool.
