Did Y'All Get This When You Bought Your 991?
I now know my 991 wasn't a cheap Chinese knock-off. Phew!
Tonight a FedEx package arrived with my Certificate of Authenticity and this lovely little statuette with my name and VIN # (removed in this picture.) I also got a fuel card that saves me 10 cents per litre at Petro Canada for the next 500 litres. All in all, pretty sweet! https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-f...hoto%25201.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-H...hoto%25204.jpg |
Only curious thing on the Certificate is under Optional Equipment it lists "Auto Start/Stop" I was pretty sure that was standard.

My understanding is the COA and goodies are dealer and country specific. I believe the dealer pays for the COA, dont quote me though.
I've read elsewhere that in Australia or South Africa they get some really good stuff, I got a pen and some other things. |
I seem to remember that in Canada anyway you have to pay for a Certificate of Authenticity so pretty nice to get it and the tombstone for free.
|
I got a cert but no cool statue.
|
Hawc, I got the same exact things as you!
It was a nice little surprise. Didn't get anything like that with my prior 997 or 987S and they were both new from the same dealership. Did you get your car from Pfaff? |
Awesome! I didn't get the little statue, but I got not one, but two full stationary/pen sets after receiving the certificate.

With my previous 987 Cayman I got a hat, a mug and some clear side markers. This certificate and statue will be a nice thing to show prospective buyers years from now when I'm selling it as an 'original, single owner' car. The other thing Pfaff threw in which was cooler than all of this in my opinion was clear LED 991TT side markers. Those are relatively expensive and hard to get and I like those. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.6sp...7e9a111067.jpg |
That gas card has a $50 value. Saving 10 cents a litre is great, only thing is Ultra94 is on average 10 cents more per litre than you can get Premium at other stations. :)

I got the clear ones thrown in as well as a set of front rubber winter mats and a little "thank you" basket at pickup that included a couple of little things- the Porche drivers selection Espresso cup set, some teas, chocolattes, etc . My son was given a 1/43 model set of the Carrera S also which was kind of a nice touch. But hey, the pricing on the 991 is quite a bit more up here than in the US ! |

I'm jealous you got more stuff than me! Who was your salesman? Did you get a C2 or C2S?
:p It's my third new Porsche from Pfaff. Not sure if that makes a difference plus I brought in a friend to the same salesperson and he bought a 991 c4S from the same sales person a couple of weeks after I placed my order - I was there and helped with the negotiation - maybe that's why! Otherwise my friend was going to Downtown Porsche but I redirected him to Pfaff. I sent you a pm! Oh, and mine is a lightly specced Carrera S. I struggled back and forth with the 3.4 vs 3.8 choice but just pulled the trigger in the end. Both cars are absolutely fabulous! Enjoy your beautiful car (and your Porsche statue thingy, lol!) |
All I got a crappy framed letter with an emblem sticked to it + the Porsche 991 Tequipment brochure =(

Just remember you just spent over $100,000 from a car company with the biggest profit margin in the industry. I wouldn't be getting too excited about some freebies that are worth around $15.00 or less.
Let's put things into perspective here. So easily amused are we? |
