I have been following the forum a while now. Last month I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 991 C4S. SM_ATL and Money's journals pushed me over the edge I am extremely happy with the car, definitely a lot of fun to drive.
I used to live in Florida and used to drive an E60 M5. That was my first "fast" car. But had to move to Istanbul for work and with taxes on cars in Turkey, I could never get my self to pay so much for a car again until now. The 991 is a completely different experience. It is not my DD but have been driving it way too much. Every time I get in the car, I have a big smile. I look forward to spending a lot of time with her.
The car did not have all the specs I wished for so I placed a few orders. The first addition I had made was the PSE. When I test drove at the dealer the car had PSE and I was very impressed by it so I decided that this is a must. So the car has the PSE now, I love the on/off switch but I still think that it needs something a bit louder in high rpms especially during track days. I don't want anything obnoxious but I do have a few things in my mind which I will be asking in another post as soon as I put all the different pieces together first.
The second addition will be the PCM. I ordered it from the dealer and hopefully will get installed this week. Can you believe that they still make cars with no iPhone connectivity???
I really wanted the glass roof but at this point I couldn't be that picky.
I have already taken the 991 to the track and it was awesome. About once a month there is a DE day on the formula 1 circuit in Istanbul. So I attended the last one for the season. Previously I was on the track with my DD which is a BMW 5.25d xdrive. The 991 was just fun to drive around. I had a blast. Starting next season I need to work on my line a bit and perhaps in some areas be a bit more aggressive. My best lap was 2:24:19. I am using Harry's lap timer and will put the video of the lap up soon.
One of the sponsors of this forum ESMOTOR is also holding closed events which I am planning on attending. This will make me learn a lot as their events do not have traffic on the circuit because everyone is trying to get a best time which in end effect will result that I find the perfect line for myself instead of following somebody's not so correct line. But I need to get the car a bit more track ready in terms of brakes and tires. In which I might also ask for opinions.

She is on her first track day! Best lap 2:24:19
Tracking my DD. Best lap 2:44
I look forward to posting here and getting opinions. I hope you enjoyed the few pictures.
2) Tires: But here comes my dilemma. I am thinking about using the trofeo r tires on track. What is wiser? Changing street to track tires just before the event on the current carrera classic wheels and then back to street tires after the event? Or get a new set of wheels just for the track and change the wheels before and after the event? If this is the case should I go with 19" or 20" wheels.
3) Brakes: My original pads are wearing out so it is time to buy a new set. I read that the pagid rs29 pads are very good. I think there is also the hp2000 that a few members mentioned. Should I put the new pads on the current discs and finish them first? or, should I buy a new bigger brembo brake kit? I was thinking that when it is time to resell, I can put the original brakes and pads back on. What are your thoughts on the steel brake lines? I will also change the brake fluid. My other concern is will these pads squeak when not on track? This can be annoying even though the car is not my DD.
4) I was thinking fabspeed headers.
5) Awe tuning switchpath exhaust.
Do the fabspeed headers work with the switchpath well?
After all these mods, I am not planing on doing anything more other than perfecting my line on the track.
Congrats from one Agate 4S owner to another. I decided to go with separate set of track wheels/tires. If you decide to go that way take a look at a set of 997 4S wheels, they work fine on the 991 4S. Also, I went with steel lines and fresh fluid before tracking. Some here will disagree. AWE Switchback is awesome but aggressive. Enjoy it, it's an amazing car.

Congrats on the new purchase! Your car is stunning! Very well spec'd and one of my personal favorite colors on the 991.
Let me know when you are ready to order a set of headers or exhaust, we have some specials going on right now and I would be happy to assist.
To answer your question, Yes the switchpath can be used in conjunction with our headers if you are looking for a valved system, but if you are open to other options, the FABSPEED Supersport is a phenominal upgrade for the 991 and definitely worth checking out:

Thank you for the links. I definitely want the valves. This was the main reason I installed the pse. We need our cars to go trough TUV testing here in Turkey. Will the sport headers with the cats pass such a test?
What differences should I expect with the sport headers in conjunction with pse? in terms of sound and performance..

The sport headers should pass inspection with no issue, I know they do here in US (except CA - due to smog regulations).
Using the sport headers along with your PSE system will provide you with gains in horsepower and torque across the RPM range along with providing you with a more aggressive exhaust tone.
Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the AWE Switchpath. Andrew@AWE would be the man to talk to about the Switchpath.
