I tried it, put it in the cart and it did work. Didn't actually purchase it though. It makes you wonder if there is something new coming soon?

Redline for sure. I have it already and the range is ridiculous not to mention being able to segment bands to strengthen others.

I have Escort Live with my STiR+. If you already have another Escort detector that has the defender database, it's not really worth it. LEO sightings are shared between EL and Waze. Waze tends to be more up to date as users can vote up/down the sightings, where as on EL it falls off after a configurable amount of time (30/60/90 minutes). On the rare occasion I've seen other EL report live Ka/K/Laser hits, but that is rare, even for the SF Bay Area.

In the SF Bay Area I have seen very little live radar alerts from other users. Ironically I saw a couple of Ka yesterday along the 101 down by Hunter's Point. If I were in a position to buy EL again, I would probably pass. Waze has the same functionality and free, even if EL subscription is free at this point but you would have to spring for the smartcord.
