Are our 911's worth less or more???

Given the recent news confirming 2016 911's will be Turbos is my 2014C4S a future collectors item or did it just drop 15k in value over night?

Interesting question. I think the answer will be in how well the the new version is received. One more reason to lease rather than buy.

In the future, NA's will be desirable as collectors. Like any car, the short term there are big hits.

A low mileage NA 991 will probably appreciate after 10 years and start rising in value.

The S's/4's/GTS's with all the performance options.

It's not true.

Actually, what I was able to find was some news that the turbo is coming, but no specific model year was mentioned. Do you have a linkie?

Your car will depreciate regardless of any rumors.

Many indications and speculation about the 991.2 turbo engines. I've posted dozens of articles.

Depreciate? Haven't you been following the the previous generations and skyrocketing prices? Look at a 97 turbo. Going for more than a new 2015.

On the way. Sooner than later.

i think the current Turbos may take the biggest hit "overnight" when Porsche announce it

So curious how Porsche is going to market this given that "TURBO" has always been the peak of their 911 line-up and now it's in every car. Will they even make any mention of it on the back of the car? Currently any model with a turbo says turbo on the back, but what will you do when all the 911s are turbos?

Supra 8280 Jan 20, 2015 11:18 AM

I'm curious to see if the 997 TT's drop when the new turbo arrives...

Same Bologna they're doing with the Cayenne and Panamera. Pretend it's not there except on the "Turbo"

thank goodness. I agree all current turbo 911s will take a big depreciation hit. It's hard to say what will happen with the N/A cars. I personally am delighted to hear about the new motors as I have long lamented the lack of uumph in my 991. I will take a 450 twin turbo 911 S for $100k which is about what I would expect the base price to be or perhaps $88k for the base car which I would expect to have 400hp because that is what the Cayman Gt4 will have and they will not let even the lowliest 911 have less power than the mightiest Cayman. I am plunking down a deposit as soon as specs are released.

Good points about the GT4. Means carrera base will have > 400 hp. And with a turbo that means 400 ft lb of torque! For a base C2 that will rock!

This, my guess is it will be a 425 hp Carrera S Turbo with 40+ MPG. They will go with gas mileage over power so they can keep their Turbo line.
