I was referring to the tedency of a rear engine 911 to point in the wrong direction by the uninitiated...

 

I do love the size of my 993 and everything that car is about. But my 991 is a more capable car all around. Times (and sizes) they are a changin'.

 

I'm 6'1" and weigh 195. I like the size of the 991. Been driving 911's since the mid 80's and like the 991 the best.

 

Great Image BradB, and I understand the scale. Wow to the height of the bubble-butt 991. That could be a target of a redesign.
My roadtrips would not be as comfortable in a 993 as with my 997.2. Yet I can trust Porsche's engineering team to hold the volume down.

 

My Porsche 991 is the best one that have owned as a daily driver. It does so many things effortlessly.



It is certainly my favorite water-cooled 911.

I'd say my all-time favorite 911 are the long-wheel-base small bumper early 911's. Those are not comfortable on long trips.

I do miss the 1996 993. I wonder why I sold that car?

With the exception of the 996, older is typically cooler, even if performance is way lacking of even modest cars today. Over these two, I'd have the 993. I don't mind working for my supper.

I think the size of the 991.2 is perfect. Earlier models for me where ill fitting. I'm tall.
I think even the 991.1 was ill fit, the steering wheel would rub on my thighs (even putting the seat all the way down and the steering wheel up within reason making steering awkward.

 

That's interesting. Did the interior dimensions change from the 991.1 cars to the 991.2 cars? I thought they were identical.

FWIW, I'm 6'4" and I fit comfortably in the 991.1.
