What Discount on New 2018 911 Turbo ?
.
I'm in the market for a new 2018 911 Turbo Coupe (non-S).
What kind of discount can be expected for these?
Thanks in advance.

Depends on your relationship with the dealership. 911 Turbo allocations are a little tight, don't expect much unless you are a repeat customer that has a good relationship with a dealer. I would shoot for 5-7% as a realistic goal.

You just have to look at the allocations. 911s in general are not a 'mass market' car of course but as you climb the model hierarchy, the allocations that a given dealer gets become less and less. A high volume Porsche dealer might have 2 911 Turbos for sale at a given time, and once you factor in whether or not you want a cabriolet, your choices are then halved. 911 Turbos are $180K+ cars, a great many of them are ordered to spec for that reason. You might strike a deal for a leftover 2017 that is still sitting around but getting a dealer to drop his pants on a 2018 is not likely.

Depends on the dealer- I've talked to 3 of them, all different answers. One dealer- no discount whatsoever, and I've bought 2 cars from them in the past.
Another dealer- nearly 4%- and believe you me I'm going thru that one.

GT3's are going at a +$25k markup from MSRP, at least. And for me that's a no-go, especially when you consider practicality.
For me, a Turbo is the better all-rounder and nearly as fast on the Ring.

And I can tell you, allocations are indeed tight. Maybe 4 to 8 available in the country...and this applies roughly to GTS's as well.

Old info but I got 6.5% on an ordered 2015 in late 2014. I had to shop around a bit and drive 14 hours to get it but if you're determined... This was a major dealership in Dallas. I lived in NM at the time.

They are producing less cars for 2018 so discounts will be less for this year.
Porsche's Marketing Philosophy:
If demand is for 10 cars,
Only produce 8 cars.
Gotta love it!
