tune on base, S and GTS

I'm considering purchasing a 991.2 and am torn between the Carrera, S and GTS. I've searched with no clear results and hoping someone here can give some solid info. If tuning any one of the above mentioned do you end up with the same HP/TQ? I know they're rated differently from the factory but i would assume tuned they'd all have equal power.

From my understanding, all three have different sized Turbos. This document should help you compare the different results.

Yeah, a tune on a GTS will result in the most HP/Torque. Check out the 991 Forum on Rennlist and use the "search" function for "tune" and you will get all the information you need.

I'm curious about this as well. I assume that if you upgraded turbo's you would achieve the same power on any trim level.

Yep, it's been done many times. Plenty of info here: Turbo Flat-6

I would think the better and more rational approach would be to stick with which ever turbos you have and do the basic power upgrade steps - e.g. - Cobb Tune - Exhaust - Intake Filter and Intercoolers and you will have a really fast car which ever trim level you start off at

For those who really want to go crazy it would make more sense to go with an aftermarket turbo bolt on solution than paying for factory units unless you can find a used set

Just make sure you get a real nice custom tune as that does miracles on the way the car perform.

I recommend ESMOTOR
