993 guys: Help me price a car
993 guys: Help me price a car
As you noticed, I'm close to buying a 993 C2S.
I've found one with new Brembo brakes, exhaust, clean clutch, good engine, and with several options I like. I like the color too. I'll do a PPI to ensure it's strong. Paint is good, interior is pretty good.
Here's the thing. It has 75K miles. No track time. I won't have to ship the car.
What's a good price range?
Anything else I need to look for?

What year, color & options?
C2S in great shape, $35-45, but take a little off for the 75kmi.
Look in the front trunk under the carpet for any crumpled sheet metal, make sure the shocks are not leaking, or that you need rear tires. Then just make sure all the stuff works like power windows, seats, sunroof, etc...

Stealth - It's a 1997 model. Polar silver on black. New tires. I'll need to check the sheet metal and shocks - good points. Assume that it all checks out mechanically, then you're saying $40K? I floated that number by the seller, and I know he won't take it. He wants $45K. I feel that with the mileage, I shouldn't pay more than $41K, but as I mentioned, it is set up nicely.

In the long run, it's dumb to pass up the car you really want for a $4k difference.
$41K would be a great deal, $45K is a decent/ reasonable price, if you really want the car, work with him and compromise $43K, just to give him a litttle bit, maybe $43.5K you are within 10%, would be a shame to not negotiate.
