All 1998 and earlier Porsche's are air-cooled. Good luck with your purchase.

How do you guy's feel about the turbo S model?

We love the Turbo S, but you are looking @ $160,000+ for a nice one.

How many Turbo S did they make anyways?

If I remember correctly ~181 made it to the USA, RoW production added another ~164 or so. Not certain but that is close enough (there is a lot of info out there on the interweb). IMO, as far as street cars are concerned, the rare birds are the 1994 Turbo S.

Air cooled P-cars in any form are exceptional but my bias is for the organic beauty of the 993 generation, particularly the TT/TTS.

964 RS America is pretty rare. Actually any pre'99 RS is pretty rare.

C2S, C4S are just as rare as the Turbo, and have the same body

This might be the rarest of Porsche air cooled street legal production; 1996 993 GT1

I photographed this example in Houston, Texas at the 2007 Keels & Wheels Concours. Only 2 street legal GT1s were built based on the 993 when Porsche decided to switch to the new 996 body style (with water cooled power plant) following the introduction of the 996 in 1997. Pictures don't do this car justice. It is magnificent in person.
