How to Remove Speakers?

Does anyone know how I can easily access the lower speakers in the door panels of my 95 cab? I tried to pop the oblong covers off but they aren't budging. There are obviously two speakers behind them. I would include a picture but don't know how to attach it to this post.

You got to remove the whole lower door pocket, the speakers are in a plastic box under it. It's like 6 screws to remove it, once you get the pocket off.

Attachment 85718Thanks. I don't have a pocket, except as part of the armrest. My speakers are in the front of the door panel so I'll try to figure out how to get the whole door panel off.

Yea, that whole piece needs to come off. The speaker box is most of that part. There are around 6 screws that come off around the carpeted pocket, then the speaker box is right under that.

The pocket is the pocket under the arm rest, pop that up, & you will see 2 of the screws to remove.

Replacement speakers

Thanks again, once I opened the arm rest it was a piece of cake...Duh.

Does anyone know of suitable replacement speakers for the 3" and 5" speakers in these doors?

I once installed rainbow and another time I got kicker, both worked fine, but that all depends on the usage :-)

Thanks, I've ordered Infinitys and Phoenix Gold 3.5s due to the size constraints on the small ones. I'll post how it works out.
