Stolen 993
I walked out this morning to find my 1995 25k mileage 993 stolen. Parked in front of the house... Wanted to post in case anyone has recommendations beyond filing a police report and filing a claim with insurance. My family had the car for 15 years and as much as I know its just a car, ugh it hurts! Also wondering if this is a recurring problem for the 993 or any porsche for that matter.
The VIN#WP0AA2996SS322809. Year 1995, Color: Silver. Location: Los Angeles (Cheviot Hills), CA. Thanks |
sorry to hear about your car dude. I hope it just went for a ride around the block and finds it's way back to you as good as it was when you last drove it. A driver on Rennlist had his stolen in CA recently but I have not heard of an outbreak of theivery lately.
Good luck! |
Good luck with finding it in one piece.

GL and wish you the best! Stacy |

Yeah my 993 was taken over the summer. I heard them push the car out into the street as it scraped my driveway and saw my car slowly going up the hill backwards. I thought I was dreaming. I ran outside heard them start the car at the top of the street and floor it off. I had the Stage 1 Fister Exhaust. The police came within 4 minutes, but the car was gone.
To the credit of the police, their detectives were useless in detecting anything other than how to pick up a phone. I am almost sure if the followed up with some of the leads they would have found the people who took my car. Your car is gone end of story. As you know the 993's are still pretty valuable overseas. Now if newly installed cameras catch anyone again. hmmmm. |

I would never park the car on the street in Southern California overnight.

Really sorry to hear about what happened, that's a shame and those people deserve to be shot in my opinion. Post pics, VIN# etc, I'm in the business here in L.A area so I will keep my eyes open for any 993 parts that would pop up on the market.
Good luck! |
post some pics as well, it may help, even though they change the colors sometimes....

I have tried to get pictures from him and help by posting announcements on the board but the op hasn't been back on since the day he first posted
