New-ish member...first time P-Car owner :)

Hey guys/gals. My name is Ly. I joined the forum a while ago when I had questions regarding 996 ownership. I've recently moved from my Mazdaspeed MX-5 to my first P-Car!!

This was my Miata (6 speed and turbocharged, of course)

She was a blast to drive, and a perfect first step towards RWD mastery needed with a 911.

Anyways, she's gone and I've gone from forced induction to Air coolness :)

It was previously owned by a doctor who must've only drove around the block once a week because according to the registration, only 6k miles were put on it in 8 years of ownership. I'm the third owner!

I've already replaced the cracked cooling duct. Installed a new radio and replaced the ridiculously terrible Nokia paper speakers with some Polk MM's.

And the biggest change; a brand new set of custom made wheels by DPE. Not everyone's cup of tea, but 3 piece and forged does the trick for me. :)

She's not a garage queen either!

Anyways, glad to be here. I hope to learn a lot from the vets.

Holy bugs !! Congrats on the purchase of your first Porsche you will love it. Any plans for suspension modifications ? Still in awe on how clean it is.

Thank you! I'm enjoying every minute of it so far! The bugs don't stand a chance!

When I was changing the wheels I noticed the fronts had an adjustable spring perch. I'm not sure that it is a full coil over though as I don't see a dampening adjustment knob on the top of the shock.

It is lower than stock though, but I don't have anyone near me to compare it to. Not sure if it's ROW or RS height, etc.

Is there a way to find out if it has the motor sound package? It's louder than any stock 993 exhaust I've heard, but the exhaust has Porsche part numbers. They also don't look like stock mufflers.

So after searching a bit, I've come to the conclusion that I have the RSR exhaust. As in "Robins" modified one. I have the plastic chrome intake snorkel with the drilled out holes, the MSP tips, but mufflers that have the stock non MSP part numbers. They have definitely been modified, as the sound is sweet as pie under WOT and they have a great "burble" to them when dropping RPMs in gear.

Anyways, first month of ownership, an I'm nearing the 4k mile mark. Yes, I LOVE to drive this thing!!

Glad you finally found out what exhaust you had, I was wondering what you had. I would also consider some H&R sway bars. H&R Sport Sway Bars increase your suspension’s roll stiffness—or its resistance to roll in turns—while maintaining ride comfort and dramatically increasing cornering control, lateral stability, and grip. A unique feature of H&R Sport Sway Bars are the smooth, machined-like forged ends that, for specific vehicles, allow for adjustability in stiffness—giving you an unmatched level of precision and performance.

Front sway bar diameter: 26mm
Rear sway bar diameter: 24mm
