I am ******...got my car yesterday from dealership but many things went wrong.

To make a long story short, I bought a car from Sport Trend auto sales in CA and had mckenna porsche to do PPI (they actually did PPI twice on this car), and they reported it as a clean and good car.

After a long wait for clearing customs and waiting the shipping company to ship in enclosed trailer, I finally received the car yesterday, and to my surprise the car is not nightmare and there were so many paint chips over the front fender and hood. In addition, the driver side air vent is cracked, the leather seats and the door handle are and the storage lid by the door are all scratched up and have significant leather damage. The rear center console is also scratched to the extent it is impossible to miss or overlook them.

I am very dissapointed, and I will try to contact these guys and see if I can get any sort of help. I don't know how much I can get, but I will try. I thought if I had spend the money on PPI and get it done by a reputable porsche dealership, I am 90 % covered so I can buy the car I want without actually seeing it in person, but boy I am wrong.

I am sorry about all this venting, but is there any suggestions you folks can provide me as to what I can do?

You should have posted prior to buying - i went there recently to check what on paper should have been a very nice vehicle. I didn't buy a car from them as their reputation is pretty bad and i have known about this place for 8 years now and heard only horror stories and the car was not in good shape.

Best of luck...you'll need it i'm afraid.

Josh.

Yes I'm afraid I haven't heard any good things coming from that dealership.

Document what you find with pics/video and try to get them to help out. Afraid it's going to be an uphill battle though.

Live and learn....

Sorry to hear, that's unacceptable. Meh, I'm really getting tired of bad/unethical service.

I did not see it in real person, but I have got a lot of pictures from the seller. From the pictures, I cannot see the flaw because the flaw part (such as the cracked driver side air vent ) was obviously not in the picture. And from a certain angle, the car's picture look fine and that is why I wanted Mckenna to check out the car for me before I leave a deposit on the car. But I did not expect mckenna to give it a clean bill and not mentioning any of these flaws when they did the PPI.

KCPHUAH, you might want to inspect each pillar to see if any welds run down it.

kcphuah -- Sorry to hear about your troubles. PPIs can really vary depending on what they are looking for. Some report on just the major mechanicals, and others are more detailed. Sounds like yours skipped over the cosmetic issues. Pictures may not show many of the flaws that are readilly apparent in person, and even reputable dealers may sometimes misrepresent.

If your car is mechanically sound, keep it and see if you can get your seller to help address some of the cosmetic issues. Might take a few $k to make it right, but you'll be much happier if it looks good.
