Rear Wiper Removal

What, specifically is involved in removing the rear wiper assembly on a 996TT?

I never use it and feel it distracts from the clean lines of my car.

Already have the plug from Eric (thanks).

Directions are in the package with our Wiper Delete Plug!

Did you find them?

I have all the carpets and insulation out of my car... you'll have to pull the rear decklid off to get to it!!

Thanks. I'll give it a shot.

But I must admit I am a bit nervous about pulling the inside panel off the back of the car.

That website is locked off

Mpsuk 11-15-2017 12:29 PM

Yes, that one. Just comes up “access denied”!!

Mpsuk 11-15-2017 01:28 PM

I’ve photographed the screen but can’t attach the picture. Still can’t get on the site

Mpsuk 11-15-2017 02:37 PM

It says owner has denied you access to the website, code 16!

https://www.bumperplugs.com/ works fine for me. Definitely something on your side.

You can just PM Eric (Plug Guy) who is still a sponsor on this site and owner of bumperplugs.com

Mpsuk 11-15-2017 03:11 PM

Even tried my wife’s iPhone. Same message

Is your wife's phone using the same wifi as the computer you tried? I doubt Eric would block access to his website from people living in England.

Just PM him directly and work it out with him. They cost $79.00 on his website.

The alloy-carbon plug is much nicer and cheaper.

kavorkme 11-14-2018 01:28 PM

Just got my 991.2 (C2S) and had the plug from "alloy_and_carbon" installed. i chose the flat design cap in matte black. looks great. thanks everyone for the information! A+!
