Yes

You really do not need it. not with that basic set up. It will not hurt but at this level the extra $1100 plus labor for install does not make sense. If you do not already have a clutch I would strongly recommend allocating the cash towards that.

The logical thing would be to install the plenum piping from UWM or FVD etc.. the one that goes from the airbox to the turbos.. but then again the gains are minimal are hardly noticeable..
Intercoolers would be the next step in my opinion... ( not GT2 ICs). markski |
Yup, I'll be getting with Kevin on the clutch thing right after the 1st of the year... My K16/K24s are already causing my clutch (Low miles at that!) to slip. Then I'm upgrading the brakes before I do the intercoolers.

I have had the UMW Stage II K16/24 ZC for almost a year now ... and my OEM dual mass clutch is still kicking like a race horse... I think I was told that I drive like a gramma...or I just dont drive it hard enough ... hmm...I can't remember which one exactly.

( not GT2 ICs). markski airbox MAF air intake hoses plenum TB I have changed the air box (?) and was thinking of doing the plenum as I set up to upgrade. But I didnt know if I needed the TB changed? or how much the intake air hoses would help as they seem to be VERY hard to get at. thanks!! going to hybrid turbos with headers and new program soon so just getting ready! already have the 5bar and new fuel pump, diverters, LWFW, and silicone boost hoses. and straight pipes. |
Tom, I'd recommend pulling the CFM rating on the filter in your box and running the numbers compared to the CFM rating on the OEM filter. You might rethink that air box. ;)
