Recomend HRE Wheel lip polish?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a polish for my HRE's. I have the polished lip with a brushed center. I think I read a while back about Mother's, but I'm not sure. I use Mother's Billet Polish on my truck's Weld Racing wheels, seems to work pretty well. Thanks! :) |
I've used the Mother's and it works well. I also like the polish from Griot's garage. The Griot's is easier to remove and less cloudy.

I would also appreciate any help on this... |
After trying lots and lots of different products I find that Mothers incredible billet polish is the best by far.

You may also want to try a product called the Wizard. I've actually used this product which was given to me by a friend and now i can't find where he purchased this product since i can't get a hold of him. But this product absolutely rocks! It works!

Yes i believe so. If it's a pink stuff that looks like a cotton then that's it! I've tried it on my HRE 540R's and can testify this stuff really works. Do you know if that's the pink stuff that looks like a cotton? Have you tried it?

Doug,
Have you tried Wizards? Just wondering if you could give an opinion on the comparison between the two. Thanks! By the way, I'd really like to see your car sometime. Maybe we can hook up in Gilroy one of these days. |
I have not tried the Wizards brand, but it seems it may be a "wadding cloth" like Extreme and Neverdull, etc. (and I have used both of those).
The wadding cloth products do a pretty good job to "clean" but don't impress me with regard to "polishing" something as "fine" as what the HRE wheels look like from the factory. The wadding cloths seem a bit coarse and leaves too many fine scratches for me. Sure, maybe we can have a wheel polishing party someday!! |

Doug,
Where can I pick up the Mothers incredible billet polish? I looked at several places today and could not find it. Thanks! |
Originally posted by dpblessing I may be too picky, but when I see lots of fine scratches (in the garage under adequate fluorescent lighting) , everyone else says, "wadda ya mean they look perfect to me". They do however look darn near perfect to me in the sunlight tho. I hope you are right, I will order some ASAP !! :) |

Robert, I bought mine at a Kragens type store just around the corner from my office. I think I saw it at Pep Boyzzzzz also.
If you cannot find any at the Aromas General / Feed & Marine, let me know and I will p[ick up a jar for you. Doug |
