Just bought my firstt 996tt. Where do i begin with the modifications?
I just purchased my first 996tt. It is all stock and i do not know where to begin with the upgrades. I would like to stage it monthly due to $$. Any ideas for a game plan would be appreciated.

Congratulations!!! Where in CA do you live? If you are close to Irvine, come to the Cars & Coffee this Sat and meet some of the other guys who do have done mods and talk to them. I can steer you to several local shops in the area for work. Visit them and choose the one you like.

Congrats on the new Turbo. I drove mine for 6 months as suggested before I decided what was right for my needs. I went with the GIAC ECU tuning and high performance DVs from Champion Motorsports. These were dealer installed and ran just short of 3k. Great hp increase for the dollar! (about $40 per hp) Good Luck with the new car.

Oh Boy....fresh meat. Welcome to the forum. Heres a few initial mods to get you started...LWFW clutch, ECU, K18/K24 turbos, 5 bar, Airbox, Cold Air, Hoses, DV's, suspension, lowering, HRE wheels, tire pressure gauge, AFR in dash,Radar, roll bar, five point, detailing kit, car cover.
That's a good start, I will post more when you are finished. And just when you think you are finished, a whole new list from someone else will appear. Only two things can stop the cycle, you sell the car, or break the bank.
Good luck, and welcome to the sickness.

Congrats!!! The 996TT is such a great car...esp in silver....and its also a BLAST to mod from what ive seen.
Id take the advice of others above...enjoy it stock for now, see what you like and what you dont and then go from there. Maybe you think its needs to handle better - then do pss9's. Maybe you want a little more UMPF!, so do a intake, exhaust, ecu tune....or maybe you think it needs more in the looks department - do a lip kit, wheels, tints, etc
Enjoy it!
